Farawahida M Monil

Farawahida Mohd Monil, a Geohazards professional, boasts two decades of industry expertise. Holding a BSc in geomatics and surveying science from Universiti Teknologi Mara, she embarked on her career as an offshore surveyor, advancing to project manager in 2007. After joining Petronas in 2012 as a geohazards executive, she climbed the ranks and currently leads the geohazards section in geomatics. With a regional footprint, Monil excels in various geohazards disciplines, emphasizing operational planning and surveying. Pioneering automated surveys, she championed the use of unmanned surface vehicles (USV) in Petronas' nearshore and offshore geohazards work. Notably, she played a pivotal role in deploying USV technology for pipeline integrity studies, also advising on Malaysia's inaugural virtual USV technology conference in 2021.
